Finishing

Only at the end of the printing process, during the afterpress, does your printed material take on the exact shape you want. During this phase, you cannot do without our specialism… Cutting, folding, punching, gathering, sewing, stapling, gluing, drilling, rounding, and so on. There is very little that we cannot produce in-house. With our own machines. And with our own people. You will notice that our advisers have mastered all the ins and outs of finishing printed matter down to the last detail. What’s more, this up-to-date expertise is in-house. In other words, printed matter is almost always completely finished at Tuijtel itself. Your profit? Savings in costs, time and the certainty of a high-quality end product that arrives undamaged at the recipient….

Processing

Tuijtel has a very extensive range of machinery in the field of finishing. We can, for instance, crease, punch and emboss your communication materials up to a size of 72×102 cm. The application of foil (in numerous colours up to a maximum paper size) should certainly not be missing from our list of endless possibilities. Perfect as a more luxurious appearance of, for example, your magazine cover or luxury packaging printwork! And this is not all. Combining several of these finishing options (with or without laminate and spot UV varnish) undoubtedly increases the desired attention value.

Bound in hardback, glued and sewn

Tuijtel has its own bindery. That can safely be called special. Our professional binders make a variety of productions every day. Whether stapled, threadless or sewn, each of these binding methods has its own specific features and (im)possibilities. Each binding method determines the appearance and quality. Think of multiple flaps on the cover, multiple flaps in the inside or even a playful mix of paper types in the finished product.

Our bindery offers a surprisingly wide range of possibilities in various formats (portrait and landscape) and in small and large print runs:

  • Yarnless and sewn in PUR (with harmless PUR glue)
  • Free spine (unsewn and sewn)
  • Swiss binding (unsewn and sewn)
  • Cloth spine
  • Prefer an open back or inset Japanese fold? No problem, come on!

Do you have any other specific requirements for the packaging method, such as banding or boxing? Feel free to ask your question. A lot is possible.

We even go one step further. Besides all finishing techniques Tuijtel offers customers a safe and climate controlled warehouse for small and large stocks of printed matter. For more information about total print productions and stock management, please contact us.
